This D2B Fiber Optic adapter allows you to retain the factory Mercedes-Benz BOSE amplifier audio system when installing ANY aftermarket radios. The output from all speakers, including subwoofer and premium sound quality. This makes for a nice clean, easy install.
When installing this interface into your Mercedes-Benz, you must ensure that the fiber optic signal loop is not broken. In addition, if you have other devices, including the original CD Changer, satellite radio, and telephone module, they must consistently stay connected to the fiber optic signal loop.
To identify if you have a fiber optics D2B factory-amplified audio system, you can check the vehicle in several ways. Some vehicles will have clear markings on the speaker grills indicating the presence of an upgraded audio system. You can also check with the original order notes/invoice from when the car was purchased from the factory. The upgraded sound system with an amplifier would show on the options list. If unsure, you can call your local dealer with your vehicle's chassis number and ask them to check if the car was manufactured with an amplified audio system. If you are unsure, please send the VIN and a photo of your car's existing dashboard to info@tereteknik.com, and we will help you check.

Connection map
Wire 1 and Wire F connect (Positive of battery).
Wire 2 connects to the positive of the cigarette lighter(Ignition powered)
Wire 3 and Wire E connect (GND of battery).
Wire 4 RCA audio input connects to the aftermarket head unit's front left and front right audio outputs.
Wire 5 and Wire C connect (amplifier wake up).
Pull the fiber optic plug from G and plug it into plug 6.
In addition, you must also use the Fiber Optic connector, which connects the two ends of the D2b connector (this is done by removing the fiber ends from the connector) and wrap these new loop connectors in electrical tape: they will be grounded otherwise, causing the sound to break until the amplifier restarts.

When unplugging these devices, you must remove the fiber optic connectors and install a connector loop between the two ends. The part number to accomplish this is TT-302.
Removing the original connectors is simply a case of pulling a grey "key" out of the lower side, and the wires will come out.
CD Changer - Remove all panels behind the driver's seat until you get to the amplifier.
Cell Phone - Behind the center console, a panel is removed to get to the amplifier (between the two rear storage boxes). You will see the fiber wire running and a module in the center that needs to be disconnected.
Voice Control - This unit is next to the amplifier (under the storage behind the driver's seat). I believe the connection is underneath, so you must look closely for it.
